Gilles did good question. Although there is more cars in some teams than pictured, we choose painting (team) not the car number. Of course it would be nice to keep one dedicated car number during the season.

Hi guys,

Two things,

1- Missing cars in the Graphical page as they were chosen by teams rather than numbers.
That's really great because after a few races, we'll be able to recognize each other at a glance... "Oh it's That Guy" :)

Some teams do have the same paint scheme for both cars, e.g., the Martini 935s
But some are different. I don't think we'll run out of any models but if we do, there's a few teams that have different paint schemes.

The 3 "DRM Modding Team" BMWs are different: Denim, Bombardier and Decker.
But the two "Sauber Team Suisse" M1s are pretty much the same.

Same with the Capri cars, the D&W team paints are really different.

All the Celica are listed.

2- What's with the Fix Setup? Do we have to run with the defaults?

P. -S. Since I have reworked the DRM LE mod that is used at MNRL (at CMS), I was just going through the car's files... in the .VEH file of the FORD_CAPRI_SACHS_001, the sound variable points to a file named CELICA.SFX (line #8: Sounds=CELICA.SFX)... that file does not exist. That car should have no sound. If it does have sound, it's because rFactor, by itself, is defaulting, up the folders, to the first .SFX file it finds. I'd be surprised! Not to worry, the car is not in the list!!!

Mouhahahaaaa...!

Hi Gilles ;-)

Thanks for the info!

I have a button on my wheel mapped to the function "Show drivers names", and despite having a small HUD display - from XD I think, I'm not not sure atm - that shows the distance to the drivers in front and behind me, I use that button to be sure who is in the car(s) ahead or in that car that just appeared in my mirrors.

I'd also like to be able to setup the car, especially for this first track where I only use 3 gears, but after doing some laps it's ok. And if I'd be faster with a setup for a particular track, the faster drivers would be even faster, so it ends to be an advantage for the not so fast drivers like me because it levels the times. And you're forced to concentrate more on the driving, which is a good thing because you're not driving thinking on the roll bars or the dampers or the gearbox instead of concentrating on the best lines. You learn the track faster and better in my opinion. And on the next tracks, that are faster than Manfield, it will be easier because the cars will be more adapted to faster tracks with the default setup.

Csaba, would you mind sharing your Manfield Hot Lap *.vcr replay file?

I'm also curious (I drive a 935 like you) if you use autoclutch ON in rFactor settings and in case you don't if you shift without clutch or use a clutch pedal to shift gears, possibly with mANUAL blip/lift and the correspondent option in car upgrades?
