Ok... I use autoclutch with auto-lift and auto-blip. I have a clutch pedal, but only use it in starts. In last race, following Marek's tip, I mapped a key to autoclutch ON/OFF, and after the start I switched to autoclutch OFF (lap times are slightly faster, sometimes almost 1 second compared to laps with autoclutch ON).

Do you use autoclutch ON or OFF? Sorry to insist, but your lap time in Manfield is so fast that I'm curious about which settings you're using.

Two things. Or three:

GILLES:
Despite having more than one painting schema within one team, we should take ONE CAR from the team list and use this painting the entire trophy. IMHO I didn't check it before but the idea is clear.

ANTONIO:
I did 1:39.8 with Porsche 935 (def fuel load) and I use AUTOCLUTCH ON. AC Off was the duty in HGT mod option 2 (no mis shifts), because AC On caused weight penalty automatically. Here I didn't notice such a factor.

ALL USERS:
I will try unblock fuel strategy and brake pressure setting. Some drivers can't brake with 100% due to poor rig.

I really can't wait for tomorrow's event, as the whole stuff will start and go to the first corner. I wonder how it will be then. Toyota seems to be 1 s. slower than the rest, but of course each driver can swap his car yet.

I'm not sure if I understood your reply. The replay is not attached to your posts and the fb you mention I have no idea where to look.

Maybe, if it's not too much trouble you could send the replay bye email? I'd be grateful as I'm driving the same car and I'd like to analyze where I'm slower, and of course try to learn something from a faster driver.

Ok...

I went on the server and figured out was was meant by Fix Setup.

Have fun guys, I'm pulling out of the Series. :(

For me, half of the fun IS setting up the car. IRL, I have work on real Lola and real March cars. I even built production race cars from the ground up, crewed or raced them. Not being able to adjust even the brake bias is not fun.

This Manfield track is awesome but with a mile between first and second gear... there's an incompatibility here... wrong track for fix setups or vice versa.

I use Lift&blip (always) and I keep going around and around. I lose it on entry to half the corners half of the time. Practicing a few days ago with an adjusted setup, I was really motoring.

So sorry Marek, you can put the car I had chosen back in the availables.

Maybe next time.

Cya all at the races.

I own crappy boxes... well you know what? 20gigs on a Asus P7P55 LX with an i7-860 running an Asus 560GTX (1gig) on an new AOC Q2963 screen... I'm doing way better! But I still endlessly mod rFactor...

This is a trophy (3 race series) that we use before a season and we have decided to try something different to try it and see how it works. (Fixed setup and weight handicap)
Probably we don't have fixed setup for a future season. Fixed setup is to allow people to have running the car before start to setup it.

P1: 2017 1st DRM Trophy. Ford
P1: 2015 R2P S37 Steel Wheels by Simracers 1979 Formula 1. Ligier-Ford Cosworth
P2: 2014 R2P S33 True Power by Simracers Grand Prix 1979.
P2: 2012 GP1979 Season 3.
P3: 2018 5th Historic GT Season.
P3: 2018 3rd Historic GT Season.

GILLES:

I take you criticism with 100% of understanding. If you don't like fixed setup rule, you won't race. It's fair and honest statement. We are going to try this in a short 3-race trophy because we didn't try it before.

If it will go wrong, we will change it in the future. As I tell everyone - we are user-friendly league. If the discussion would be started just as DRM Trophy entered - we could change this rule according to drivers suggestion as we made it with weight penalty factor.

So, now it will be run with fixed setup rule. Mention that 100 L will be enough for around 27-28 laps. 45-minute race with 1:39.xxx pace can make around 28 laps too, so be careful with fuel consumption and pushing too hard.

Have fun today.

For me "fixed set-up" is good: it means a lot of distractions disappeared.
You know guys that I have a "monkey knowledge" in set-up parameters.
Beside, with the same setups, I have an immediate perception of how slower I am related to the faster drivers.
It's a nice experiment for me.

Keep calm and wait the chequered flag...

Race length changed to 40 minutes due to "on the edge" fuel consumption in Porsche 935. Comparing Manfeild and Anderstorp it would be a threat for 935 to make one stop race as the only car on grid. BMW, Toyo and Ford need less fuel and can race 45 minutes at the limit with safe margin.

40 minute race is safe for 935 too. I hope you understand it.

Due to some opinions about fixed setup we won't keep it in the future DRM series. Just let's make this 3 races trophy with fixed setup and weight penalty and have fun.
