Round 1 - MANFEILD
Got off the line well and slipped in behind Aitor. Took his place and tried to close the gap to Mikko but Aitor came back at me. On the start and finish straight I went up to 6th gear DOH!! and lost a bit of momentum. Aitor got past and disappeared. Saw Aitor and Mikko tangle with each other and Mikko dropped down to 4th behind Marek who was now hassling me. The next 10 minutes or so was some of the most intense racing I've done in a while. With the tyres on the knackered side of life the car become real tail happy. I begin defending like crazy first from Marek then from the very fast in a straight line BMW. Down the start and finish straight I had to brake later and later to keep it from blasting past me. Think Marek and Mikko must of tangled with each other at some point as I got a 2.5 second gap from Mikko. This wasn't enough through into the chincane I missed my braking point and in a flash Mikko went past. With the tyres completed knackered the back end really didn't want to follow the nose and had become really bored of tarmac. Made a mistake a lap from the end and went grass cutting much to the delight of my rear tyres. I'm so glad there wasn't another lap as my car was now almost undriveable. Did some fuel saving at the beginning but ended up with 16L in the tank so not sure whether it was worth it or not.
Great fun racing with everyone here. But special thanks for this race goes to Aitor, Mikko, and Marek for some great clean and very close racing from my point of view anyway.

We definitely need a full series of these cars next year. I'd like to see the Lancia and BMW in the mix. But some thought will have to be put into how we can level the playing field. Mixed classes maybe or force the faster cars to have a mandatory pit stop. Something like that anyway. I love Italian cars and love driving the Lancia
R: P8 Avarage start, but it was bad compared to my previous starts. In T1 I checked the mirror to defend my position against Philipp. Meanwhile I suddenly saw Marek coming back from the outside line, and I wasn't able to avoid contact. Sorry again. I spun off and dropped back to P12 or 13. A bit later I had a quite good overtake in the slow hairpin. I tried to close the 5-6 second gap in front of me, when I saw two cars on the side of the track. I started to catch up on Philipp, but when I was about 1.5 second behind him, he made a mistake on the last corner so I gained a position again.
The rest of the race was a sunday afternoon cruise, because I was 25 sec behind the car in front, and the car behind me was 15 sec away, and both gaps were increased. In those laps I missed a good battle for example with Steve
In the final part of the race, the traction decreased, so my goal was to bring the car home safely.

Sorry Laszlo but I had a real bad race. I will do better in the next event, I hope.
Not too good qualifying, 12th place, I "leaved" half second along the track.
At the start I was involved in a "traffic jam" (sorry for the contact Robert) and luckily survived. After the first turn another jam, and this time I was not too lucky: I finished in the sand and lost some time.
After I regained the track I tried to reach my "race pace" but I think that the car was lightly damaged, so I spent 3/4 laps to "learn" how to drive the Capri.
But it wasn't my race: I did another couple of stupid errors. At that point the concentration was gone and, since the fastest drivers were arriving to overlap me, to avoid the risk of ruin other drivers race I regained the pitlane and drinked a couple of beers with the pitcrew.
Keep calm and wait the chequered flag...

Surprisingly good pace comparing to the other "aliens". I raced PP time on my last lap, after S2 I was 0.1 faster than pole setter Csaba, but lack of fuel in the last sector. Aaargh!
Poor start, I lost two positions and was hit by Laszlo, but no damage affecting the car performance. First part of the race I had a battle with Murat which caused the gap between P1 Mikko increased slowly. Then, after succesful overtake on Murat I recovered my pace and realised I'm faster than top3 drivers sometimes. I cut the gap between Aitor and Paul driving on P4 after Csaba mistake. I caught Paul finally and we started one of the most intense fight in my last simracing, in addition with Mikko who did mistake and lost P1 to Aitor. As Paul wrote, at least 10 minutes of pure sweating fight came, we mixed positions sometimes with Mikko pushing Paul hardly. Unfortunately we both went off on grass one time and I pushed the throttle too hard driving back on track which caused my spin and the fight for P2-P3 was gone for me. Nevertheless, it was so great to race each other so close and fair. It's hard to drive Porsche sometimes due to only 4 gears comparing to other cars so the acceleration on 1st gear was very difficult.
Great great event for me. It could be better but I'm happy with the final result. See you at Anderstorp.
Good qualy lap in 1:39.5, maybe pole position was possible with a perfect lap. Very happy with pace.
Good start, side by side with Lako to overtake him at the exit of T1 for second place. Paul pass me on early laps and I overtook him later after a good battle. I went to catch Mikko, when I was just behind him he went off, I took the lead and I kept a good pace to win the race.

Well, that was not my smartest decision ever. I think your reaction time was not best or your getaway, however I tried to pass you an the left side with two wheels on the gras. Maybe I lost the momentum on the gras. Therefore our both cars were side by side, you gave me a bit more room so that I got away from the gras but it was stilly very tight. Then I thought nothing to gain here and backed out which was the right decision, maybe a bit to late.

I had a lonely race until you catched up (Csaba had some problems but was way to fast for me) and I got a bit nervous. I didn´t pushed my car to the limit but I lost some concentration and was to fast for the last corner. And I hitted the barrier as a result my car was not straight anymore thus I had to pit. (A shame though, I think a good battle was possible)

That pitstop meant I was a lap down and the last car running but a least I saw the checkered flag. Which is real progress in comparison to the last time I raced at this track my bake pedal broke and I DNF. (It was last year at Mareks F1 1979 series)
I hope for a better race at Anderstorp.
