Q3 Due to low practice laps, surprised

R1 Even more surprised of winning this. Figured before hand that maybe, if others unlucky, might be 3rd at best.
In my little practice session day earlier was struggling to get to 1.19 lows so dont know what happened but after
perfect start I just managed to run 1.19.1-3 sort of nonstop whole race without a single mistake so that was it.
Most important was that managed to keep Marek behind on early laps where he seemed faster than me.
If he had passed, free run for him and I would have been the target for the rest but now he was my buffer kinda
and insuring the win for me. Thanks! :P

Really enjoy this series because of the trackawareness and sportsmanship of everyone on track! Great stuff!

Q: P2
R: P3

Qual:
Outstanding qual result with my ATS "cow" due to knowing that track inside out. Pole time was unreachable for me.

Race:
Phil Brown aslept at start so I jumped even on P1 for a moment, but Toni Talvitie started better and put his car before my front wing on T1. As Toni mentioned it seemed I was faster than him on first laps, but it was no place to overtake. The only chance was on S-F straight. Unfortunately my ATS suffered from the lack of power or aero comparing to Williams FW06. The rest of corners I had to be very careful with braking to avoid the contact with Toni. I didn't want to race so nervous during 45 minutes so I kept the safe distance waiting to his mistake. Toni found his pace finally so I realised P2 will be very good result with this grid anyway. Despite of racing almost at my and ATS limit, Dominik Satel with his Williams FW06 had his "race day" on that event. I had to give up after 2 lap fight.

Anyway, I'm happy with my good pace with slower car and the valuable result. P3 is far better I could imagine.

See you at Zolder.
