If I can suggest... we can "freeze" the race immediatly before the first driver disconnected.

Qualy: P2

Surprised to be on front row and with my 8:23 lap. More surprised today when I did a 8:21 on warmup. But I knew that behind were faster drivers.

Race: P4

A race with a safe pace without mistakes. I had a good start and I took lead, but on lap 3, people started to be boring following my pace so they started to overtook me. After Feri's mistakes I was in P3 when on lap 9 my steering wheel disconnected and I needed almost 30 seconds (unplug and plug the steering wheel) to continue racing with some suspension damage, front spoiler off and wrong force feedback but my pace was good to keep the 4th place. On last lap i tryed to close gap with Feri , waiting to some mistake but my steering wheel disconnected again, this time loosing 10 seconds. I was lucky that issues happened in braking zone so my car could survive.

Happy to complete a 90 mins race in Nordschleife without mistakes. My first ever race in the Green Hell.

Great racing and at start was going to chill but
then saw rhat Mikko is allready there. Had to play
agressively, get a car between us quick and then work
on Aitor, who had the lead. Clearly he didnt want to let me go
so we had some tight moments. Good stuff.

Finally opportunity came and got loose.
After that nailed every lap between 8.18 -8.21
and cruised 1st to the flag.

Had little still on reserve but would have increased
the margin of error. Lucky that wasnt needed.

One of my best drives, 90minutes on this track.
Super happy.

I was lucky after three errors to finish the race on 3rd place.
Car was damaged and no top speed on straight.
I had some nice moments with Aitor on Schwedenkreuz :)

May I suggest that those people that had a disconnect be given a set number of points maybe relative to there average finishing position from previous races or their qualy position, or their position when the disco happened. It's not easy but don't just freeze the race result after the first disco. I wouldn't be happy with the race being frozen after first disco because it would mean that all that hard work to finish the race would have been in vain. I know this is driving for fun and we shouldn't get hung up on this but disco's happen. It's happened to me a number of times. It's bloody annoying when it happens but it happens. Sorry to those guys who got a disco. Hopefully the admin will come up with something that's fair for all.

Fantastic race. Still buzzing today. It was my best ever race at the Green Hell especially with such a pig of a car. Really started to understand the last sector which I've always struggled with. :)

Looking forward to the next round. Really don't want this championship to end. Please add more rounds ;)

Points predicted after Nord:

Talvitie - 37.4
Anstey - 31.5
Feri - 27.3
Lopez - 24.0
Archipow - 24.2
Cid - 21.0
Csapo - 19.8
Tavares - 17.6
Nieminen - 0.0
Settanta - 0.0
Almeida - 0.0
Asri - 0.0
Lako - 0.0
McCoy - 0.0
Coletta - 0.0

According to Paul's post:

1. People who reported CL issue with Nord, reported it too late. Problem occured on Saturday during qual sessions. Of course, no duty of testing track from Monday, but it would help in that case. More time for finding solution or calling off the event.

2. As an admin I had to take the decision, sometimes it's hard if you have 90% drivers without problem and some with it. I truly understand the feeling of being disconnected, but anywany Csaba told me it was graphics card problem, only Mikko and Steve suffered from CL caused by "aliens" itself. I think we must treat it as the technical failure on driver's side. If I would cancel Nordschleife results because of two drivers, the rest will hang me on the gallow's pole. So all results are valid.

3. Paul, the championship includes 7 races. Next season will be A3 plus 3 L cars plus some more added. I hope it will be good season as the current one. Of course, we can use this carset (from 2nd Season) in the future. Just stay with us and race together.

The only way I can promote all retired drivers, but not only disconnected, is to give them "no-double-points" like this:

Nieminen - 7
Settanta - 6
Almeida - 5
Asri - 4
Lako - 3
McCoy - 2
Coletta - 1

Just because the CL issue wasn't only on driver's side, but track too.

What do you think? Please all drivers write your opinion.

I agree with the "no double points" solution: it's fair for the drivers who joined the race and was disconnected and for the drivers who finished the race (I am honest: the disconnection avoided me a big headache :P ).

Keep calm and wait the chequered flag...

No.
Again its internet game. Tech failures happen
to everyone sometimes.
I have never seen anyone getting points for disco or
any otherkind of failure.

Have you given points for disco before?
Are you planning to give such points everytime in the
future?
What about Aitor's controller failure?
List goes on.
Beeing brutal is the only way to be fair im afraid.

In this case internet won as the well known saying
goes.

watching my replay and Mikko's broadcast, I see that the problem is not about connection lost is about not registering the lap and then the game boot the driver. Mikko was behind us some turns after finishing the lap but the hud displays that he didn't cross S/F line and game boot him with a CL.

Maybe the solution would be for future races type the text/ping message in the straight before crossing S/F line.

About giving points to drivers who didn't complete 50% race distance. It is hard and unlucky that this happened in a double points event, but I am agree with Toni to don't give points to them.
