No luck for me this time.
Had small incident with Paul and rolled over once. After that started to chase Aitor. I catched him and in last lap my mouse fell from table and game minimized.
Still 2nd place. Tough race.

Pity that unreal thing is setting the car from the roof to the normal position in a second after accident.

Anyway good and fast race for you.

Had a great start and got the lead. Had to fend off both Aitor and Mikko at the beginning but they began to fall back a bit and fight between themselves. However once again I heard the buzz of that BMW engine getting closer and closer and Mikko was on my tail. Once he got passed me I managed to stay with him. Going up to the corkscrew I was very close to him. There was a couple back marker's to get passed just before the corkscrew, a Escort and an Alfa. They were great and got out of the way for us but unfortunately this distracted me a little bit and I missed my braking zone. Also think I was going slightly quicker than normal in Mikko's slipstream. I couldn't get the beast slowed down in time and slammed into the side of Mikko sending him onto his roof. I waited until Mikko caught up and gave the place back to him. This was now for second place as Aitor was now in the lead. A few laps later I span. Sorry to the Escort and Alfa as I must have passed you 3 times I think in those few laps. Thanks for moving over to let me passed :)

So sorry to Mikko. I;m so glad he was able to recover from my mistake and managed to get back to fight for the lead :)

This has been a fantastic series. Great grid tonight.

I may not be around for the last race I'm afraid as I maybe on my way back from my brother's. I will try and get back for it.

Good start and long positions battle with Stefano and Laszlo (grats guys ;) ).
I gained a little advantage from the guys when I lost for a moment the car in the sector just before the corkscrew.
Result: kissed the wall and the wheel said bye bye. I gained the pits but the race was virtually over.
However I am quite satisfied: I pushed the Escort really hard (for my standards obviously ;) ) and joined a good fight with two skilled drivers.
At Mount Panorama it will be another story but I really growned as driver during the champ and that' the important thing.

Keep calm and wait the chequered flag...

Qualy: P3

Great first lap in provisional pole. Then Mikko and Paul beat it and in the next laps I don't beat my time. In my final attempt I have traffic when I was doing a lap 0.4 lower. It could be a low 1:37 but not enough to gain a place, so very happy with P3.

Race: P1

Good start trying to overtook Mikko but he retained the place braking later on the outside. I had the pace to stay behind Mikko and Paul and when they fought I could attack them. I overtook Mikko on lap 3 and few laps later he retook the second place. I could follow them and at the mid of the race they collided so I took lead with a 8 seconds gap, but Mikko recovered it lap by lap and he caught me with 2 laps to go but at the start of the final lap a PC issue cost him a spin and I have a clear finish to celebrate my first HGT win.

P1: 2017 1st DRM Trophy. Ford
P1: 2015 R2P S37 Steel Wheels by Simracers 1979 Formula 1. Ligier-Ford Cosworth
P2: 2014 R2P S33 True Power by Simracers Grand Prix 1979.
P2: 2012 GP1979 Season 3.
P3: 2018 5th Historic GT Season.

Q: P4
R: P4

Qual:
No history. Almost no traffic, almost reaching PB.

Race:
I lost one place at L1T1 to Robert Jablonski. Then one-two laps of intense fight with him. The memories were back. I overtook him finally and he burned the engine. Anyway, it was good start of the interesting event. On the last turn of L1 or L2 I did it too sharp and started to spin. I lost the speed entering the S-F straight and lost two places again. After recovering the position over Antonio Tavares I spent almost the whole race behind Juan Manuel Feri, as in past events. I finally overtook him and kept the safe distance to the finish.

Another outstanding event for me, great fights and moments. I could be on podium, but Mikko's crew is damn fast - they put his car back in game in a second. ;)

Grats for the first HGT win go to Aitor. Well done my friend. Well deserved one.

As Paul mentioned, I must say this series has balls. I think some people nicely grow with the series and we will have much bigger community of fair and strong drivers in the future.

Yes I love this series too. The cars are fun to drive, the absence of wing and fast damping setting makes the setup development relatively fast and easy, and, of course we have a great team of experienced and correct drivers with whom it is a pleasure to be on the tracks.

The only aspect that I hope to see adressed in future series is the choice /distribution of cars.
We aren't many drivers so far, and the fact that the fastest driver have the fastest cars makes races less interesting and apealing than I believe they could be.
Since we are all experienced and mature enough to let pass without creatin difficulties a clearly faster or overlapping car, I believe that it would be more fun for all if we could find a way to make the slower drivers race with the fastest cars. I think that races would be much more action packed, with the cars racing closer to one another for longer periods, much more overtakes and positions changes, in one word much more fun to all the participants.
Perhaps not all drivers will share my opinion or even agree with me, but speaking from my personal experience, I have been driving alone during entire races, and what I like most in simracing, definitely much more than winning a race, is close racing near other cars. Nothing gives me more pleasure while on a track than a long fight with other cars, with frequent changes of positions.
So, I leave the idea here, to whoever might be interested
