You have 100% right Antonio, but in this series it's made as you mentioned. There is "HGT Drivers Ranking" made after 1st HGT Season. The order of choice was opposite to driver's ranking position. It means the slower driver had an opportunity to take the car first to the driver who was higher in ranking. Mikko Nieminen selected his car as the late driver.
Unfortunately" he is the fastest driver on the grid so his BMW 2002 rules on track anyway.

In the future I will try to set less number of cars but closer in performance. Maybe some cup races will be a solution.

P.S.: Antonio, did you cancel your FB account? It would be nice to have a contact with you in the real time.

Well, taking the risk of saying a nonsense or something that is not as simple as it may appear, I'll make a suggestion. Maybe it can be used in future series as it is, or maybe someone can modify and adapt it in some way.

As most of us are experienced enough to know where we stand in terms of speed, compared to the rest of the group, at the beginning of a season the cars available for choice could be present divided by groups, or according to a ranking going from the fastest to the slowest. Or by groups of cars that can make similar lap times (ex.: taking an average track as reference, a group of cars that can lap in aprox. 1m30', another group that can lap in 1min33', then a group of cars that can lap in 1min35', and so on...).

Once these groups, or a fastest-slowest ranking was established, at the beggining of a serie the fastest drivers would be advised/encouraged to choose the slower cars, or a car from the slowest group. Of course this would not be mandatory, but if at least a majority would follow this criteria, I believe it could be a step in the right direction to have closest races.

Anyway, it's just some food for thought.
My 2 cent worth.

p.s. - about my fb, I just closed it for a couple of days. I will be online again in a couple of days max.

I understand the idea you propose, but still the critical thing is:

1. Who will decide if somebody is fast or slow? (of course we can see the past results, but sometimes it's tricky too)
2. What to do with the new drivers who are fast and we can't know it?

I invented dozens of equality systems in this league. Of course every proposed idea is worth of consideration.

Another possibility (I use that one in other place) is for example, 6 races in different tracks, and 6 cars available, and everyone has to take the 6 cars, in the order they want but can't repeat the same car. :)

It was like this before, Ramon. This is for me personally the best system, but most of people like having the same car during the season, as it was in reality.

I don't agree with this system, because (I speak for myself obviously) you cannot " let it grow" your car.
In the actual HGT championship I had the possibility of learn many things about my Escort, and do some experiments on the setup: I'm not a skilled race engineer and sometimes I try some changes just to see how the car responds. ;)
However if we want to try this system for me there's no problem. I attended a couple of champs on the Altbierbude site with this rule. ;)

Keep calm and wait the chequered flag...

Is it possible to add additional weight to car, for example 15kg/win. Or reduce power?

Additional weight is possible, but it works only online if the admin will add it. For me it isn't a right way to equalise. In addition, it makes admin more busy just before the race.

In fact: we don't need to equalise. Just make "cup" series or 2-3 cars totally similar. We work on it. ;)

Using weight penalty as a "SUCCESS BALLAST" is what I was gonna suggest for a close racing for the field. Marek, it will not make you busy or something while you are on the server just before the race, it is really really very easy to use with presetting a batch file beforehand. When you preset the file and paste it into your appropriate directory in rF folder, all you do is type the command /batch xxx.ini and all drivers' weight is applied with a single command line. You can even use a Quickchat button for that so you can apply everyone's ballast even when you are driving on track.

The format using weight penalty in our league in the past was like this: We had 2 races for a weekend. First race was full distance (~45min) without ballast and 2nd race was sprint with adding weights to top x finishers of Race1 according to their finish position (e.g. 1st 50kg, 2nd 40kg and so on).

Weight balast is ok. We can think about it.

Example:
1st - +100 kg
2nd - +80 kg
3rd - +60 kg
4th - +50 kg
5th - +40 kg
6th - +30 kg
7th - +20 kg
8th - +10 kg
