Here in this thread we discuss all important ascpects of Simracers Special Event at Nordshcleife track with BMW M1 ProCar mod which will be held on our game server: game.simracers.pl:21000. Mod and track are downloadable on the main page (in the module under the header).

Proposed settings:

- race date: 29.12.2010

- race length: 1,5 h

- race start: 20:00 CET (19:00 GMT).

- race schedule:
19:00 CET - Practice 60 min.
20:00 CET - Qualifying 30 min.
20:30 CET - Warmup 10 min.
20:40 CET - Race 90 min.

- damage multiplier - 50% (it's a fun race, it would be nice to visit pits easily after the accident and repair the car)

- available help - only AC on (some drivers have worse steering wheels without 3 pedals)

Od course, the settings mentioned above are only the proposal. We shoult discuss it in this thread.

Let's write our opinions.

EDIT: Date set to 28.12 which seem to fit everyone

Apart from that, event rules seem to be OK :)

The event is planned for the 28th now am i correct?

A question:

Are there any specific rules we have to obey?

Different league have different basic rules so it might get confusing is for example one league keeps two wheels on-track at all times and another league are used to using curbs with 4 wheels etc. or one league allows for defensive driving when getting lapped and other leagues dont.

Also for those not aware, in practise you can use a shortcut on this track to avoid a 10 minute outlap.
get on the track, follow the modern part and just before you will enter the old Nordschleife to the left you turn right back onto the main straight of the modern track and now you lap will start.
if you stay on the right side of the cones no other cars will have issues with you.

Yes, the event date is 28.12.

As for the rules... that is something we would like to discuss together.

My proposition is, to have 4 wheels on track, where as a track counts white lines and curbs.
Of course that does not mean you can't have 2 wheels on grass when you make a mistake or something...because you will loose time when going that way.
By saying 4 wheels on track, I mean that you can use the whole width of curbs but if further away from curbs there is something else like tarmac, you can't use it (unless you went there making a mistake in a corner, trying to save your car from spin and you lost time because of that).

Of course that is only my proposition. It would be nice to see what rules Simracers admin would like to have.

As we spoke with Lesiu before, it's a funrace so the penalties won't be the main thing in this event.

Lesiu, 4 wheels on track is a hard thing to do. I think 2 wheels from each side of the car on track would be enough. Cutting this track isn't possible like on the other tracks. We won't penalise as in normal league event. Of course, clear cutting the track will be watched by us.

This weekend I'll make the event poster and add the rules and settings on it.
