I'm in if I can learn how to not blow motor. Tried long run with both Jaguar and Aston Martin but I just cannot keep the engine alive more than 15 laps. Any tips apart from not overreving it?

Ohh, and what about weight penalties?

The only tip I can give you is be very gentle with the throttle, both accelerating and braking. The key is to not rev up the engine so much.

Murat, install Rfdynhud plugin. In fact, these cars have tough engines, not easy to blow.

Don't red line
Ensure you lift off the accelerator whilst changing
If you have a clutch pedal use it
don't change down too soon or in quick succession

In the upgrades there's an option for 'No Mishifts' (something like that. I'll check later) select this one I've found it helped. (this may not be correct as I may be thinking of a different mod. i'll get back to you)

Remember the era these cars came from. Be gentle with these cars. Get the pluging stated above, XD, or GID which shows you the health engine health. If it's low then drive even more carefully. I managed to get my corvette home at Spa 45 minute race last year and I started with 19% engine health and ended with 1%. So it's possible to modify your driving style.

The only gripe I have about this mod is the random engine health feature which can give you a really stingy amount of health at the beginning. If you're on the grid and you have low engine health you can press ESCAPE and go back to the pits and then re-enter the race. Your engine health may improve but there is a risk it could be worse. You can do this several times but keep checking that countdown as you may end up starting from the pitlane

:)
