Do we need to select our cars before the event or is it a free choice?

#Paul:
Free choice within these 3 dedicated cars.

#Murat:
Weight penalties were tested here in 3rd Season cars and it doesn't work.

Ohh, and what about weight penalties?

Don't red line
Ensure you lift off the accelerator whilst changing
If you have a clutch pedal use it
don't change down too soon or in quick succession

In the upgrades there's an option for 'No Mishifts' (something like that. I'll check later) select this one I've found it helped. (this may not be correct as I may be thinking of a different mod. i'll get back to you)

Remember the era these cars came from. Be gentle with these cars. Get the pluging stated above, XD, or GID which shows you the health engine health. If it's low then drive even more carefully. I managed to get my corvette home at Spa 45 minute race last year and I started with 19% engine health and ended with 1%. So it's possible to modify your driving style.

The only gripe I have about this mod is the random engine health feature which can give you a really stingy amount of health at the beginning. If you're on the grid and you have low engine health you can press ESCAPE and go back to the pits and then re-enter the race. Your engine health may improve but there is a risk it could be worse. You can do this several times but keep checking that countdown as you may end up starting from the pitlane

:)

Many thanks for the help fella. No Mishifts is definitely way to go. It did not only give me a solid rock engine for 46 laps tho I've not changed the driving style but also 6 tenths of better laptime for combined best sectors. Am still way too short of pace tho compared to fast drivers but at least now I will be a proper underdog, I believe. I had used the one below it in the upgrades with Auto Clutch ON as it was suggested for 2 pedallers in the description but changing things to what is NOT suggested ended up to be the correct thing to do.

I personally use 2nd option of shift style - "no-mis shift" with Auto-Clutch OFF, as it is described. I noticed it saves engine.

I noticed many people entering the pits, during the race. Is it a rule?
I entered the pits by mistake, as I forgot to refill after the qualifying session...
