I don't have any clutch pedal now. My G25 is broken and I use DFGT. B)

As long as I didn't mention about track cutting areas it is fine. I cut personally very often and I don't think it gave me time gain. Driving on the sand or grass slowed me I think but it was hard to keep that car in the straight line. Please, tell me what chicane did you cut or I will see the replay of your PB. As I said (or didn't say) - walls were enough limit on that track.

It's the tight chicane about 3/4 the way around the lap. At one point I was getting very close to the left hand wall. But if you're OK with the use of the dirt area then great :)

I didn't find time to review my race last week, so here I am now.

At first, by looking at the track map, I didn't like it. I was expecting it to be a power circuit, wich is not my favorite style of track, but how wrong would I be!
After a fex laps, I noticed the terrain made the track much more complicated than it looked on a plain map and I started enjoying practice very much. It eventually reminded me of a hillclimb road, and I like that very much.
Not having to choose a car made setting up a lot faster and I got so relaxed about it that I came to the race without proper fuel consumption analysis. I explain: I never trusted rFactor fuel consumption data because I've seeing it make huge mistakes, so I aways take some time to manually calculate that. Seems like I did something very wrong this time.
I noticed something was not right already at the starting grid: despite any possible mistakes, the fuel and autonomy numbers felt too low. I decided to start like that and drive some laps flat out to see how they'd behave. My updated calculations said the fuel wasn't enought by one or two laps. To make it worse, I couldn't remember if rFactor's lap counter displayed the current lap number or how many laps were completed, so I needed to find at least a total of three more laps of fuel, on the fly!
The first strategy was to short shift up, by about 1000rpm to 2000rpm, and it seemed like there was a tendency to consume less fuel, but not enough. Then I remembered those Ferraris might have used carburators that would suck a considerable amount of fuel even when off throttle, so, the only solution I could find was to reduce rpms everywhere, what meant going to the corners one gear up.
Mikko had left, by now, and Anstey was approaching like there was no tomorrow, destroying lap records (and my predictions) along the way. I eventually made a mistake that would shave about 3 seconds between us, at once! To deal with that, I did a flat out lap, attempting to keep him from drafting, and got lucky with traffic.
The race ended as the lap counter shifted from 20 to 21 and rFactor said I had autonomy to complete 0 laps.

Exciting stuff!

First podium since long time, although it could be done at Riverside week ago (accident). I entered to practice just one hour before the event, as usual. I had pace for 2:09 and I cut at least 3 seconds in pre-race practice. Then I finally found better race line and adjusted the setup, cutting 2 seconds less. In the race I fought with Csaba and Laszlo, Matheus and Paul were out of range. Despite of little mistake I finished 3rd with safe margin over 4th and the rest of the grid.

Good result.
