Had a good qualy putting me 2nd on the grid.

The Falcon is a heavy car to get away from a standing start and Juan passed me before T1. Had a great fight with him for the opening laps and finally got passed him into T1. Not sure what lap that was. Tried to close the gap to Matheus but we were on similar pace so just couldn't get the gap down. By the time Matheus made his mistake into T1 I had no rear tyres left to push with. Both were in the red and it took a hell of a lot of steering input to get the car going where I wanted it to. Matheus pulled out a big gap by the end.

Well done Matheus :)

I already said it on Facebook and on the lobby, before the race, but for the record: I loved this track!
I like small tight tracks with chained corners and some long and technical braking zones. Knutstorp's terrain added another dimension of joy to that. Surely, it's a place I'd love to visit in person!

This time, Paul's performance in the middle of the week put my hopes of winning away. I was much faster with the Jaguar than I was with the other cars and, in my mind, if he achieved that amazing performance with the Falcon, he'd be at least another .3 of a second faster with the Jag. My PB before race day was 0.3s slower than his, and I achieved that by cutting heavily on the first chicane of the second sector. And that's only one person, we're talking about: I'm aware that many of you can reach consistently fast race performances, so I woke up on sunday focused on finding a steady rythm for the race and patience to drive carefully in traffic.
Somehow, my performance improved in the practice session before the race. I did travel between friday and saturday and, today, I wasn't able to put power down with the setup I developed in the middle of the week. I did fiddle with it a bit, to make it more stable, and got more confident. I don't know if track temperature also got higher with more cars on the track, but I guess everything added to the pressure and I found that last bit of performance to match Paul's pace.
Race start was good for me, as I could exit T1 alone and put some distance ahead of the pair of cars battling for second place. After that, I guess this was my best race performance in the championship so far and, except for going off track once while dealing with traffic, I made very few mistakes. I was racing by "looking forward", meaning that I was confident enough to push my rythm all the time. Great feeling!

I'm still curious about why Anstey chose the Falcon. My two cents are on personal challenge. If you're ok with that, Paul, I'd like to ask you about it and about how was your performance with the other cars. Anyway, great sportsmanship!

I'm deeply sorry for your unnecessary absence. I didn't remember to put the email as I usually do. But... the password is easy to find and you are "old users" - it was not your first event. Password is published always so early before the race on forum, in series thread. The second way is to click on series button - there are all links you need - "Race password" under the link over the series general results. I just can't imagine you didn't never click on it and didn't use those links. If not, it was terrible misfortune this day. The Murphy's law.

In fact, thank you for the info about refreshing the threads. I don't edit posts. I usually permanently delete last info "post updated" and write new one, the same. I thought it is shown on forum as unread post. If not, this is an important info for me.

Sorry again. I hope you will know in the future where the password is, without any reminder.

Guys, I just checked it out and my way of refreshing works. If I'm logging as normal user (Fireball) I see "unread post" green mark in "Race password" thread after my "delete old - writing new post" combination.
