I advice our users to download original version of Historic GT (1.96) from our links. I know some changed versions exist around the world and sometimes it can cause mismatches,

Q:P7
R:Accident
Well,my concentration was not on a satisfactory level.
First I lost some positions and after that in lap 14
I missed braking point for fast right corner and crashed into the fence.

Intense, race!

I'm very pleased with both my performance and the result.
This week was easyer to manage than the last one and I was able to practice.

Found it tough to believe in the setup, as it aways felt like the cars couldn't put power down. The cars from the last race felt like dragsters, when compared to these (except for the Porsche :P )

Under my driving and setups, both the Ford GT MkIIa '66 and the Ferrari 412P '67 were close enough that I couldn't find a huge performance advantage in each, so I decided to choose based on race strategy: with the GT, I had faster straight line speed and what felt like much better tire compliance, so the car was much easier to drive, specially in corner exits; with the Ferrari, I could brake a bit later in both the long straights and could hold slightly higher mid corner speeds.
I chose the Ferrari while expecting to finding myself in the middle of the traffic, where I believed I'd be able to cover for the lack of speed with drafting.

Got pole with a solid performance, avoiding danger.

At the race start, lights turned green very fast and, from my replay file, seems like a lot of you guys didn't expect it. Lucky me! Or, was it? I have buttons in my G27 mapped to look right and left, but I couldn't see around the area where my rear axle was because of the side pillar, so I was convinced that Allan's V8 Ford would be very close and thundering by sooner or later. Running side by side with this imaginary Allan, I braked late and went for the outside line in the entry of the first chicane. I saw Paul grow large in the mirror and though all chaos would be coming along, aiming for that inside line I left.
But where was Allan? Well... watching the replay, I notice my ignorance... moving on:
Aitor had the inside line, heading to the back straight, and I just went for the drafting zone. While dodging his car in a major oversteer correction, I went outside and Sirny dived inside. Now, I was scared for being in the middle of traffic with such delicate cars, but. dare I say, slightly happy to notice there were a bunch of cars between me and Paul :]

Now it'd be time to take the strategic reason why I chose the Ferrari to the test. The only problem was that whatever advantage I'd get from drafting, the cars behind would also get. Third lap started with Allan already sniping to my inside line from very far, in the first corner. In the backstraight, I trusted on Sirny's GT requiring a earlier braking point and went for it. As planned! But he put up a great defense and I ended up sideways. Amazing race!
I couldn't do the same to Aitor in the following lap, but he went wide and I could pass.

Now, I had Allan's aggressive braking to deal with, and, soon enough, he was in my drafting zone.
It wasn't all passive driving, for me: I deliberately did some swerving and blocked the inside braking line, more as an attempt to mess with Allan's mind than to shake him off, as I believe I wouldn't be able to shake him off by myself.
We kept that going until we met other cars, when I took a terrible decision while misreading Llupart's move to let me pass and went off track. Lucky for me, Allan also had a tough time and spun, losing a bunch of seconds and giving me some space to breath.
And that was it! An interesting experience with cars I never believed I'd be able to race online with.

A satisfying debut race for me albeit me hitting a back marker, surely racers can see the Blug Flag??..
Qualified 2nd so was happy with that.........The start a different matter..Im used to 4 red lights then 1 green, so when yellow suddenly went off,my Big v8 bogged down and i was passed bout about 4 cars lol..Nice little fight back up the field, could late brake in these cars with the set-up i had,and then the chase was on to catch Matheus..Few laps later i was up his exhaust, catching his drift, trying to make him late brake, which i think he did, but he did a good job of doing controlled drifting....Damn...need a new tactic, hmmmm, just keep pushing, pushing,Ah haaa, backmarkers, maybe can catch a break......Yes,he goes off, nows my chance, erm no, i get tangled up with a back marker rear end him as he slows down spin off,Matheus sails off to win...Last lap 5 yards to finish line my engine blows up ha ha ha how close was that,1 more lap i would have been last...Great racing guys planning on doing a lot more with you guys, till next race,if any1 wants any help with set-ups..............TOUGH...lol, only joking,i will gladly try and help out..:)

It was a great race! Not in results but true fun!
I had a good laps with Tavares and the car went smooth all the race, only at the final laps I lost my momentum and drop places but anyway looking forward for the next one!
