I did little summary of our activity this year. Regarding to drivers activity in our series I must re-think the direction of Simracers goal next year. First, I need a break from races until the end of 2017 so Im setting Historic GT on server with incoming 3rd HGT Season carset to better understanding the choice. Of course we keep one Sunday and two Saturdays as club events - we can meet at 19:00 CET and run the race each week. Maybe other cars will be set (Ford GT40 vs. Ferrari 330P or something). Just give me a while to do some things.

In fact, rFactor 2 is the future and I'm still pushing IRG to set new test rF2 server. So I suppose next year will be rF1 HGT and rF2 year. What about GP1979 or other F1 Classic mod or DRM? Honestly speaking, I don't know yet.

In private I'm the father of 7 years old son and I take care of him alone. I must be more focused on him but of course I don't retire from event making. I think it will be all ok for our league and the drivers who participate here. Just stay alive, keep rockin' and read the posts.

I hope you understand. Greetings for all users.

Cheers

You're doing a great job. Here I have found a great group of correct and experienced drivers, a good organisation and an excellent choice of mods and tracks. I was racing before at R2P, and after it's termination I struggled for a while to find other league to race. It's not easy with rFactor1, many simracers are moving to new generation sims like AC, iRacing, rFactor 2 etc.
My current hardware only allows me to use rFactor and older sim's like GT Legends, and that is why after a few months of searching, without racing, I found this group.

My only regret is that there aren't, from my point of vue, enough events on the calendar. sometimes several weeks pass without an official race, and if for some reason a driver has some last minute problem or unexpected event that makes him miss the race, it can be an entire month without racing. I know that the fact that we are not many doesn't help, but as I said before in other posts, I miss more events. In fact, I think we all miss, because it's the best way to recrute new drivers. New drivers mean more balanced races for all, and balanced races mean more fun. With more drivers, it's easier to find drivers with similar pace, instead of doing the majority of 25 laps alone as it happens so often. I know that the fast guys here have similar paces and don't have that problem, but besides those 4 or 5 there are other behind.

I keep saying that we should have a fun race each weekend. I don't care wich track or mod; in fact I think it's easier to use one of the current mods to avoid new installs. And we could use a track that doesn't belong to the actual calendar. The way I see it, it's not even much work: it's enough to choose a track (best if it is a track known by most, like Monza, A1, Silverstone, Donington, etc, to allow those with few time to practice to have better chances of adapting fast), announce a fun race in the forum, and set the server a few hours before in the day of the race. Those who can and want to show up have an opportunity to enjoy themselves, those who cant or don't want have the next calendar track running again on the server after the fun race ends.

rF2 has gone full dx11 which means older computers are pretty much out of the picture. Luckily you can switch to dx9 beta from steam and it works but how long, it remains to be seen.

Don't look at hackers and shoutbox. Working on 4th HGT season in advanced progress. Switching the website layout too.
