What about american muscle? Mustang shelby `69 iz faster but eats rear tires so can`t finish race without 2 stops at least.

DB4 can do with one stop for fuel or tires ... with fuel for race tires can`t make it but if you take fuel for half distance than it`s possible.

And I don`t think that this porsche is good choice. Slower than DB4, wear tires more and driver will blow engine to stay in touch before half distance. Grey one would be better solution ... 144kW and 925 kilos ...

American cars can't be compared to European because they eat fuel like hell. They must refuel twice during 21 lap race at Aintree.

DB4:
Tank capacity 136 L, fuel consumption 4.3 - can race without refuelling, but it must change the tires once.
Approx. laptime with 21 lap fuel - 2:11.8

Mercedes 300SL
Tank 100 L, fuel cons. 3.3 - no refuelling needed, just changing the tires once.
Approx. laptime with 21 lap fuel - 2:11.9

Alpine A110 1800
Tank 40 L, fuel cons. 2.1 - no refuelling possible with fuel saving, changing the tires - once.
Approx. laptime with full fuel tank - 2:11.3

Porsche 911S 2.0 (132 kW)
Tank 52 L, fuel cons. 2.2 - no refuelling possible with normal pace, changing the tires - once.
Approx. laptime with full fuel tank - 2:12.4

Austin Healey 3000
Tank 40 L, fuel cons. 2.35 - one refuelling for sure, but it can be done within time range for tire change, changing the tires - once.

More powered Porsche are way faster than the cars from the list. I did 2:08.7 with 144 kW and 2:07.6 with 162 kW.

Porsche 911 2.0 66 (132 kW) and Lotus Elan are too slow. We can only test Porsche 911 2.0 67 (144 kW) as an option.

Porsche 911 2.0 66 (132 kW) i Lotus Elan są za wolne. Możemy jedynie sprawdzić, czy Porsche 911 2.0 67 (144 kW) nie będzie konkurencyjne.

Porsche `67 is 162 kW but there is another `66 Porsche with 144 kW (grey nr 138) ...

OK, my observations: when I first posted on this topic I did tests for 25 lap race (don`t know why) and now for corrected lap number distance ...

DB4 is fastest, no need to stop for fuel, no need to change tires;
GT350 is faster over one lap but must stop for fuel - tires can last race distance but barely;
Alpina to keep in touch must be tortured - possible engine blow;
3000 MK III - same as Alpina;
300 SL - didn`t really tried because I don`t like his brakes (overheating and fading after 2-3 laps much worse than GT350);

... And I`m not sure about your fuel consumption calculation. Here is my measurements

DB4 - 3,8 ; revs up to 6000 - peak power
GT350 - 4,3 ; revs up to 6200 - peak power
Alpina - 1,8 : revs up to 7600 - slightly above peak power on 7200
3000 MK III - 2 ; revs up to 6400 - slightly above peak power on 6000
300 SL - 3,1 ; revs up to 6000 - peak power on 6200 but everything above 6000 damges the engine

Monitored and measured with rFhudyn and verified with MoTec log`s ...

Ok, I thought about 66' Porsche 911 S 2.0 144 kW. It must be tested yet.

Ed, I tested it with rfdynhud and Motec too. I did whole race distance with Healey 3000 and it keeps good DB4 and Alpine A110 1800 pace, but it must refuel once (approx. 20 s. time loss with pit in&out). This means it has no chance to win with current 3x fuel consumption settings. So, we will change fuel consumption to 1x for equalise all cars chances to win (also Shelby GT350).

For the future, I personally did some cars classes, just slightly compared to original HGT classes. I think we get focus on it in the next races.

Switching fuel consumption to 1x will cause the grid will be more equal. We have to be flexible.

Can you do race distance and warmup/formation lap with alpina and healey with full tank?

I can do it only with alpina but just about with my fuel consumption. But not with tires in that case because, to keep in touch, I must push through the corners and wear tires even more so can`t do it without pitstop.

Why not just make rule that maximum amount of fuel for start is 60 to 70 liter ... or make pitstop rule as a must at least once but not in first or last lap?
