It's not necessary. Read the news.

Fuel consumption will be set on 1x.

Don't be sure if it will be allowed now. Maybe it is too quick, we must test it.

EDIT: Or we should set fuel consumption on 2x maybe, just to force GT350 to have one short pitstop for refuelling.

Because you didn`t read properly what I said in post when asking for american muscle. You are too much concentrated on fuel consumption and not on tire wear. What I said was that `68 Ford Mustang Shelby can not do the race distance without 2 stops just because of tires (rear left is critical) and I can do 9 laps tops without puncture. It`s just too powerfull and it`s almost impossible to put power down without spinning and wearing tires excessively.

And little update: `67 Ford Mustang Shelby (less powerfull) maybe can with one stop - in 11 laps stint I had flat rear left on backstraight in last lap before piting ... and I will test `66 version to see how it goes ... I suspect that it will be too slow - don`t know yet.

Did you test other one 911?

Ed, your opinions are valuable, but I didn't say anything about the cars you mentioned. Or I missed something.

Shelby GT350 is our goal. It's definitely too fast for the rest, but with one stop and little refuelling it could be competitive.

Tyre wear... I must test it and I'll do it for sure. The list of allowed cars will be released until Friday, when driver's briefing will be published.

911 144 kW is possible to add, but it requires some tests yet.

Don`t get me wrong but I think that it`s better idea not focusing on one or only few cars ... I like most of them but my real favorites is american muscle cars so that`s why I`m pushing to have at least one and you can`t blame me because of that. :P
If that will be Falcon - so be it and I`ll take it for race because I don`t really care where I will finish as long as I enjoy driving it.

About GT350 you said it`s too fast and yes, I did 2:05 with H shifter and grinding tranny waiting in ambush for too fast shifting - two misshifts and I have blown engine ... I don`t want to think what lap time is possible for people who will shift it like modern F1 car ... and it`s not real american muscle for me because it corners too good and no tire smoke on acceleration ...

Testing update:
`66 Ford Mustang Shelby - slower than DB4 but not that much and tires can last for the race distance
`65 Ford Mustang - faster than DB4 (almost like GT350) but with that pace must visit pit for new tires

So my strong suggestion: Ford Mustang Shelby `68 - little bit faster than GT350 but 2 stops for tires means 120-130 seconds just standing in pit plus pit in and pit out twice ... if you preserve tires just for one stop (mission impossible for me) than it is slowest movable object on track ...

I'll try it after DRM Norisring event, which is at tje moment. I think GT350 will stay (for you) and we will look at the other "pure Americans" (personally I love these cars too).

Next event will be held at Sebring with... A4 cars!!! Your time will come!

I don't think Porsche is the good choice. Let it stay in the garage. It's too accurate and fast.
