About HGT calendar ... did you try those cars or it was just a pick what sounds competitive on those tracks! For Cadwell event mini 1075 have confirmed bug with slipping clutch ... not match as it is for a big jag ...

Yes I know about the bug, but stronger Minis are faster on Cadwell than Jag. Mini 1075 is the only Mini compared to Jag. Of course, you can propose different pair of cars. But first, try this pair.

BTW: I think Mini 970 has a bug. Mini 1075 changes the gears normally. Maybe it has small problem with revs, but drives IMHO ok and comparable with Jag.

Just because of equalize the performances. With fixed setup and locked gearbox Jag and Mini 1275 do around 1:47.000. No fixed setup would give Mini the strong advantage.

Fixed setup - fuel will be enough for the whole race.
Cars are more equal. It will be one stop duty (changing at least one tire set - front or left).

Jag Mk.II - stable, fast car, better on straights, good to drive
Mini 1275 66' - more nervous, faster on corners, a little bit faster overall but harder to drive

Test it on server. Setup is unlocked online now.

With fixed setup you didn`t equalize nothing ... what you did is to take any chance from jag winning the race because default setup is perfectly OK for mini but awfully soft for jag. For 1:47 I must risk roll over on mountain in every lap unlike with mini 1:45 no sweat ...
And I don`t agree with equalizing car idea at all. Race tracks can do better job in a way that we pick one car for whole season...

I agree with you at all, but we have hundreds of cars in the mod. Should we race only with Mini and Jag in 4 races in a row? Remember, that we have DRM series bi-weekly and it shortens HGT season.

But ok... I see it more clearly now. We should run each part with the same chosen cars, f.e. Part 1 of Spring 2012 season should be like that:

- 4 cars to use: (B1) Escort, Capri, CSL Alpina and Porsche 911 ST 2.4 or (B2) Porsche 911 RSR 3.0, CSL Schnitzer, Capri 3100 and Pantera Factory
- 4 tracks to run

***

One car and its performance verifying by tracks isn't a good idea. Some cars can be underrated on all tracks in the season. "One-car-one-track" rule is the best we can do.

***

There is 3 events to go and we must end it as it is. I don't want to change chosen tracks and cars. If Mini 1275 will be clearly faster than Jag on Cadwell, we will apply some extra weight to him. It's the only fair thing we can do at the moment. Just test Jag too, to see the difference between these two cars. We don't have enough laptimes to test. Users are very lazy and you and only some drivers want to help me with the car selection and making rules fair to all.

I did try every car in the mod and, before any statement from my side, I do offline check with at least 10 laps ... with jag default setup I`m more than second slower per lap with much more risk and more tire wear ...

With stiff setup I can do 1:46 flat lap after lap with no drama at all ... still slower than mini but much more safer especially on mountain and through the madness ... not sure is that official names but guy who actually raced there in RL call those parts of track that way ... mountain= highest part of track with right than left and down the hill ... madness= last part of track - left/right/left/hard brake and square right ...

... and about "lazy" members ... maybe they are not lazy, they just don`t want to show his real pace so they don`t go online for testing but it would be nice from them to write few words here on forum ...

50 kg ballast for Mini makes two cars equal.
